With Christmas creeping up on us, we thought it was time we shared an idea for you to get crafty.
This season’s hottest craft trend finds a pretty amazing use for a foam swimming pool noodle! Ornamental wreaths can be really expensive, but here’s a super simple method for you to design your own. Have fun getting creative!
What you will need:
1 pool noodle (or 2 if you want a bigger wreath)
An assortment of different sized ornaments (make sure you detach the metal tops)
Cut the tube (or tubes) down to the size you would like your wreath. Then bend the tube into a circle and tape the two ends together using duct tape.
Decorate your wreath. Start with the bigger ornaments and attach them sporadically using a hot glue gun. Then fill in the gaps with the smaller ornaments.
Hang your new wreath up using ribbon.
Our Top Tip: Cover the tube before applying your decorations to get a consistent, professional finish. Gold spray paint looks great, or wrapping it in a fabric of your choice works well too.
If you loved this idea but want something a bit more challenging, why not try decorating your wreath with something a little different? Here are some ideas to help get your creative juices flowing…
